Most events do not fail loudly. They fade quietly. In the first ninety seconds I am already fixing things nobody else has noticed — the room’s attention span, the energy level, whether the crowd is willing to trust what comes next.
I have walked into events with the plan locked, cues approved, timing mapped, then felt the room and switched all of it. Not because the plan was wrong. Because the room was.
I am on site two hours before doors. Not to rehearse lines — to learn names, check in with production and catering, and solve the small problems before they become visible ones.

What do you actually do?
I am a professional MC and live event host in Vancouver — weddings, corporate events, galas, interactive game shows, and celebrations where audience engagement actually matters. The job is to keep the event running on time, keep the energy in the room high, and make sure guests stay present from the first moment to the final send-off.
How are you different from a regular MC?
Regular MCs read scripts. I read people. I adapt in real time, I handle curveballs, and I know when to push energy and when to get out of the way. I have hosted thousands of live moments and I do not freeze when something goes sideways. That is where the value is.
Do you customise your hosting style for each event?
Yes. Every time. No canned jokes, no recycled scripts. I learn your crowd, your vibe, and your goals, then build the flow around that. The event should feel like you and I know each other — whether you are a person or a brand.
How involved are you in planning?
More than most, less than you fear. I help shape the flow, flag timing issues early, and make sure the entertainment fits the room. Then I show up prepared so you do not have to manage me on the day.
How far in advance should I book?
As far out as you can — the more runway we have, the more we can shape the night properly, and the best dates do go first. Weddings tend to book nine to twelve months ahead, corporate three to six, and November and December are effectively gone by late summer. But here is the honest part: you can book me the day before your event. If you do, I will spend that day building your run sheet and your plan, and I will walk in the next morning ready. Your guests will assume we had been planning it for months.
Do you provide the DJ as well, or just the MC?
I bring in the DJ. I have the people I trust for it, I book them, and I host the room around them — which means one point of contact for you instead of two vendors who have never worked together. Same goes for magicians, game shows and kids entertainment. You tell me what the night needs and I put the right people in the right slots.
